About

My experiences, from data analysis to hands-on research, have strengthened my adaptability and eagerness to learn. While my background is rooted in math and physics, I am passionate about mechanical engineering and am actively expanding my technical skills to bridge the gap!

Driven by curiosity and collaboration, I enjoy combining analytical research with practical engineering and community engagement to tackle real-world challenges and support others’ growth.

Relevant Experience

Professional Journey

Mechanical Lead

UCSB Robotics Club

  • Lead mechanical design, fabrication, and system integration of autonomous and driver-controlled VEX-U robots, applying CAD modeling, sensor feedback, and control algorithms to enhance reliability and in-game performance.

  • Directed team operations and summer prototyping for the upcoming Push Back 2025 game, managing build cycles, mechanical repairs, and strategic testing.

Project Lead

Beach Bots - Farm Robotics Challenge

  • Founded UCSB’s first entry in the national Farm Robotics Challenge, leading a multidisciplinary team to design an assistive robot for strawberry transport integrating mechanical design, sensor systems, and localization modules.

  • Engineered autonomous crate-carrying mechanisms with row-changing and geolocation capabilities, improving field efficiency and reducing worker strain from manual lifting while enhancing adaptability across varying field layouts.

Soft Robotics Researcher

Hawkes Lab - Mechanical Engineering Department

  • Fabricated soft robotic joint prototypes in UCSB’s Hawkes Lab; conducted iterative pressure testing on prototypes (5.0–9.8 cm), identifying ~28° mesh angle as optimal for stable, single-axis bending near 90°, informing actuator design for assistive robotics.

Combinatorics Researcher

Directed Reading Program - Department of Mathematics

  • Collaborated on an algorithm design project optimizing search strategies; applied combinatorial and graph-based methods, presented results at UCSB’s Directed Reading Program, and received the People’s Choice Award.

Thermal Camera Footage Curator

Muncaster Consulting, LLC

  • Operated in Teledyne Flir’s Conservator databases to condense 15,000+ frames of thermal camera footage to hundreds.

  • Classified training footage versus test footage to optimize machine learning for autonomous vehicles and drone detection.

  • Instructed iMerit, an overseas image processing company, to annotate frames with bounding boxes.

Data Science Intern

Culpass (Google Startup)

  • Collaborated with Co-Founder of the ticketing company to analyze 8000+ rows of event data: identify key patterns/trends in ticket sales, optimize pricing strategies, and gather insight on ticket buyer behavior.

  • Defined an ETL (extract, transform, load) process for the platform, with 2 different dashboards that generated plots and visualizations of the data over time. Presented findings and recommendations to company executives.
